COVID 19

So I thought I had typed out a second entry awhile back, explaining the absence of content. But apparently it didn't post?
Whatever.
I would expect nothing less from 2020, the great year of the toilet bowl. 
Anyway, the school year has been pushed back. My internship, which was essentially paid student teaching, was cancelled by my county. Now it's back to normal student teaching. I was supposed to have begun already. Instead, it looks like we have the green light for early September.

I still haven't been placed and orientation is in 2 weeks. I have absolutely no idea what will be expected of us. It's funny, because after student teaching...the first time I set foot in a classroom I will be doing it....for the first time!
Trial by fire, I guess. I mean, are we surprised, at this point?
I'll update again once I actually have something worth updating.

Beginnings

Five weeks ago, I began teaching once a week at an area middle school as part of my education practicum. It's been a blast. It's a new beginning for me. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to begin. So let's talk about why I'm doing it. I've decided to start this blog for the following reasons (Not in any particular order): 1. Keep a record of my experiences, for self development. I'm imagining that in the future I will be able to look back during moments of professional darkness and find inspiration, perspective, or even more soul crippling despair.
